The Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida Elects Second Vice President
MIAMI - September 19, 2007 - Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. is please to announce that Heather L. Yonke has been elected to the position of Second Vice President of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida. The Annual Awards Ceremony & Installation Dinner for the 2007-2008 officers and Board of Directors were held at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami on September 18, 2007.
Heather L. Yonke practices in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency. Her practice includes representation of Chapter 11 debtors-in-possession, bankruptcy and liquidating trustees as well as creditors' committees in the areas of corporate restructuring, orderly liquidation, litigation, and debtor-creditor relations. She has been principally involved in the claims reconciliation process in cases with claims exceeding $50 million and the prosecution and defense of multiple bankruptcy avoidance actions.
Ms. Yonke received her Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2002, where she was a teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy curriculums. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business in 1999, specializing in finance and real estate.
