Al Maloof is the Managing Director of GJB Consulting LLC ("GJBC") and its international affiliate, Infrastructure Advisors-Middle East LLC. For over two decades, Mr. Maloof has provided ongoing strategic counsel for numerous projects related to transportation and infrastructure, procurement and public policy and government relations for corporations, institutions, associations and individuals. He has been involved in a multitude of diverse major projects, totaling in the billions of dollars and employing thousands of individuals. His practice activities include work on public-private partnerships, concessions, and infrastructure projects, including rail, tunnels, seaports, airports, highways, toll roads and intelligent transport systems.

Mr. Maloof was appointed to assess the operations of the Florida Department of Transportation, by the Governor of the State of Florida, where-in he conducted performance reviews of the various divisions, bureaus and districts of the agency. He worked with railway operations, major infrastructure, roadways and tolls, ITS, design-build construction, and technology which ultimately resulted in a newly restructured department to achieve greater performance and efficiency. Subsequently, he was appointed to serve along with the Assistant Secretary of Transportation on the 2025 Florida Transportation Plan Steering Committee, to help develop the future of Florida's multimodal transport systems. He was later selected to serve on behalf of leaders to help develop and promote policy to advance the country's multi-billion dollar Transportation Reauthorization Act -Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient, Transportation, Equity Act (SAFETEA-LU).

Mr. Maloof serves on the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), serving as chair of the Intergovernmental Committee, chair of the contracts efficiency task team, and also as a member of the operations committee. MDX oversees planning, designing, construction, procurement, contracts and operations of the regions' expressways and toll highways.

He serves on the board of directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as vice chair of the Governmental Affairs Group, which oversees various committees which develop local, state and federal public policy, political outreach, advocacy, and provides government liaison for the business community and chamber staff. He also serves on the transportation & infrastructure committee. Most recently, he worked directly with the United States Department of Transportation to secure billions of dollars in rail projects funding.

Mr. Maloof has served on various boards and committees including review commissions, planning boards, transition teams, guaranty funds and oversight and advisory bodies. Recently, in 2010 he was appointed to the Miami Dade Performance & Efficiency Commission, established to review the operations, processes, structure and procedures of one of the largest regional governments in the United States. He was also selected for a management level internship position in Miami-Dade County, and was assigned to the Office of Performance Improvement, where he helped developed programs to implement best-practices, efficiency programs and improve customer service. He had the distinguished opportunity to train under the Chief of Strategic Business Initiatives which focused on disciplines such as organizational visioning, performance measurement and total quality management.

Mr. Maloof received a state cabinet level appointment and served as vice chair of one the states' Insurance Guaranty Associations and later served with Florida's Insurance Commissioner on the statewide Comprehensive Health Association. He was also previously appointed by the Miami-Dade County Mayor to serve on the County's only quasi-judicial law enforcement board, serving as its Chairman and subsequently appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to serve on the Planning Advisory Board, the regional statutory local planning agency, serving as chairman. He also served on the regions Elder Long-Term Care Task Force, as well as the Countywide Incorporation & Annexation Committees, to review the services cities provide to the population. Mr. Maloof serves on the City of Miami Mayor's International Council, and previously served on the Board Review Committee and the Property and Asset Review Board to evaluate the accountability and performance of the municipality's real estate assets.

He is a member of the American Public Transportation Association, and serves on numerous working groups and panels including the procurement, rail, government affairs, legislative and member services committees. Mr. Maloof is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America, Transportation sections and is an active member of various community and not-for-profit organizations. He also serves on the board of the internationally active Arab American Institute, active in the annual Kahlil Gibran Spirit of Humanity Awards, and is a member of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce, working on various international initiatives in the Middle East. He oversees the firms operations in Qatar as well as in the MENA region. Mr. Maloof is a scholar of government processes, operations, customer service, procurement methods and structure, stakeholder interaction and performance efficiency. He is not a member of the Bar.
