David C. Cimo

David C. Cimo specializes in all aspects of commercial litigation, creditors' rights, restructuring and bankruptcy. He represents various clients in complex commercial litigation matters including legal and accounting malpractice litigation, officer and director liability litigation, contract disputes, insurance disputes, foreclosures, fraudulent transfer actions, commercial landlord/tenant and collection matters. Mr. Cimo also represents debtors, creditors, trustees and creditors' committees in large-asset, litigation intensive Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy proceedings, and trustees, creditors, receivers and other parties in interest in other insolvency proceedings.

Mr. Cimo is "AV" rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is listed in Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in America under Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights Law and Chambers & Partners USA. In addition, he has been named as one of Florida's top lawyers by Florida Trend magazine, South Florida Legal Guide, and Florida Super Lawyers magazine.

Mr. Cimo is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal General and Trial Bar for the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle District of Florida and the Bankruptcy Bar for the Southern District of Florida. He is a 1988 cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he was an Article and Comments Editor of the Entertainment and Sports Law Journal. Mr. Cimo earned from Florida Atlantic University, a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in 1985.
