Benjamin P. Bean practices primarily in the area of business litigation in state and federal court. He also has considerable experience dealing with bankruptcy and corporate matters.
Bean was appointed and is currently a member of the City of Fort Lauderdale's Community Services Board (the "CSB"). The purpose of the CSB is to review social services and cultural funding allocations with a social service impact. The CSB also advises the City Commission on community block grant activities, and researches and develops funding sources for various City projects. He is also a member of the Young Leadership Council Steering Committee for Gilda's Club South Florida, an organization that provides a welcoming community of support for anyone living with cancer-men, women, teens, and children-along with their families and friends. Additionally, he is an active member of the Board of Directors of the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Miami-Fort Lauderdale.
Bean is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 2009, where he was executive editor of the International and Comparative Law Review and earned his bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Michigan in 2004.
