South Florida Chapter of the Women's Franchise Network (WFN) Appoints Chair

MIAMI, FL — April 11, 2006 —  Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A., is pleased to announce the appointment of prominent Miami-Dade attorney Nina Greene Kersh as the Chair of the South Florida Chapter of the Women’s Franchise Network (WFN). The first chapter was launched in Denver and now includes local chapters in San Diego, Minneapolis, Chicago, New Jersey/New York, Southern California, Washington DC/Baltimore, Dallas and South Florida.

The purpose of the network is to assemble female franchise professionals to develop relationships, address issues, share ideas and offer solutions related to the franchise industry. The WFN is committed to uniting all women involved in franchising by providing valuable resources and a strong support network.

“It is an honor for me to be chosen as the first chairperson of the South Florida Chapter of the Women’s Franchise Network. I look forward to facilitating the development of long term relationships among women in the franchise community and to provide them with networking opportunities to further their professional careers in the franchise industry,” said Nina Greene Kersh.

Nina Greene Kersh specializes in franchise and general commercial litigation as well as real estate, medical device and trademark litigation. As a member of the Firm's franchise practice, Ms. Kersh has represented franchisors in litigation matters involving protection of trademarks and intellectual property rights, franchise terminations, racial discrimination claims and other issues. She has represented franchisors in state and federal trial and appellate courts in Florida< and throughout the United States. In addition, Ms. Kersh also provides counsel to franchisors regarding transactional matters.

She earned her LL.M in Taxation from Temple University School of Law in 1997, Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law in 1991 and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988.
