Class Action Litigation

Please send an email to attorney Jonathan E. Perlman if you would like more information about our firm's Class Action Litigation practice.

GJB's class action group is regularly selected to prosecute or defend complex class action cases through the United States. The underlying subject matter of these cases parallels our securities, employment, bankruptcy, franchise and complex commercial litigation practices.

As counsel for plaintiffs, we have represented numerous classes in securities fraud, deceptive practices and discrimination litigation, and helped obtain billions of dollars for class members in securities and employment class actions. For example, we served as co-counsel and represented the securities claimants in the Enron securities class action brought in Houston and the related bankruptcy cases in New York and Texas. This significant litigation resulted in $7.2 billion in recoveries for the class, the largest securities litigation settlements in U.S. history.

The fees in plaintiff class actions are usually contingent upon success and subject to court approval. We pride ourselves as having an unwavering focus on our clients' interests, and in providing exceptionally efficient and responsive service and fee arrangements that are tailored in each class action representation, that meet the clients’ expectations.

As defense counsel, we have successfully defended franchisors and other clients in numerous class actions.
