GJB's class action group is regularly selected to prosecute or defend complex class action cases through the United States. The underlying subject matter of these cases parallels our securities, employment, bankruptcy, franchise and complex commercial litigation practices.

As counsel for plaintiffs, we have represented numerous classes in securities fraud, deceptive practices and discrimination litigation and helped obtain billions of dollars for class members in securities and employment class actions. For example, we serve as co-counsel, and represent the securities claimants in the Enron securities class action brought in Houston and the related bankruptcy cases in New York and Texas, focusing our representation on bankruptcy and insolvency issues. This significant litigation has to date resulted in $7.2 billion in recoveries for the class, the largest securities litigation settlements in U.S. history. We continue to work to recover additional amounts against those non-settling defendants who are responsible for the losses suffered by our clients.
