Stephanie E. Farrell focuses her practice in the areas of employment law and complex commercial litigation.  Ms. Farrell has litigated a wide variety of employment issues at the agency, state and federal levels, including claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, Florida's Public & Private Whistleblower Acts, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act as well as claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Ms. Farrell also has litigated breaches of non-compete agreements in the employment context as well as in the context of franchise agreements and the sales of businesses. 

In addition to litigating employment matters, Ms. Farrell advises management regarding employment policies and development and modification of employee handbooks as well as counseling employers regarding personnel decisions, including hiring, disciplining, conducting investigations, implementing reductions in force and terminations.  She also drafts and negotiates executive employment contracts and severance agreements and has litigated employment contract disputes.

Ms. Farrell is a member of the Florida and New Jersey Bars and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida and the District of New Jersey.  After graduating law school, Ms. Farrell clerked for the Honorable Vincent D. Segal, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Equity Division.  She earned her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University.
