Miami, FL – April 9, 2012 – Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. is pleased to announce that James A. Stepan has joined the firm as a partner.
James A. Stepan practices in the areas of intellectual property and complex commercial litigation. His practice includes business disputes, racketeering (RICO), business fraud, contract disputes and negotiation, social media, franchise disputes, technology issues, insurance and insurance fraud disputes, tortious interference, trademarks, false designation of origin, unfair competition, false advertising, trade secrets, misappropriation of name, likeness, and image, copyrights, defamation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements, employment, and securities in federal and state courts and in arbitrations. His practice also includes proactive counseling.
Mr. Stepan has significant experience in all phases of litigation, including jury and bench trials, arbitration hearings, injunction hearings, motion hearings, depositions, mediations and settlement conferences, discovery, and appeals. Mr. Stepan is Board Certified as a Specialist in Intellectual Property as Accredited by the Florida Bar. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law in 1999 and earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, with Departmental Honors, from The Johns Hopkins University in 1996.
