GJB PARTNER NINA GREENE NAMED 2016 MIAMI FRANCHISE LAW “LAWYER OF THE YEAR” BY BEST LAWYERS
MIAMI, FL – JANUARY 2016 – Nina Greene, a partner with Miami-based Genovese, Joblove & Battista P.A. who focuses her practice in franchise, trademark and general commercial litigation, has been named the 2016 “Lawyer of the Year” for franchise law in Miami by Best Lawyers—noted as the oldest peer-review guide to the legal profession worldwide.
Making this accolade particularly significant, the publication designates only one individual as “Lawyer of the Year” for each practice specialty and location. Those honored have received outstanding ratings in surveys by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their legal prowess, professionalism and integrity.
“It’s an exciting time within the franchise industry and I am greatly honored by this prestigious recognition,” said Greene. “With so many qualified and deserving professionals in our community, I am humbled by the support of my peers.”
Greene represents franchisors in state and federal, trial and appellate courts in Florida and throughout the United States in matters involving protection of trademarks and intellectual property rights, franchise terminations, discrimination claims, covenants not to compete, unfair competition, business torts, and many other issues. She has represented noted national franchisors including Burger King, Benihana, Pearle Vision, Smoothie King, and Wild Wing Cafe.
The accomplished attorney is also a member of the International Franchise Association Supplier Forum Advisory Board, the chairperson for the South Florida Chapter of the Women’s Franchise Network of the IFA, and a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising.
