MIAMI – October 15, 2020 – Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. (GJB), announces the addition of five attorneys to the firm’s nationally recognized insolvency, commercial and franchise litigation practice areas.

Jeremy S. Rosner joins GJB as an associate, focusing on insolvency and complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Rosner served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Luck of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Previously, he was a staff attorney for then-Justice Luck at the Florida Supreme Court. Rosner is an active member and mentor at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Florida Association of Woman Lawyers, the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. He received his juris doctor, cum laude, from Emory University School of Law in 2019. There, he was a member of the Emory Moot Court Society’s Constitutional Law Team. Rosner was also awarded the Morton Aronson Franchise Law Award and inducted into the Emory Order of Advocates.
Carlos E. Alvarez joins GJB as an associate, focusing on complex commercial litigation and international arbitration. He is experienced in the management of state and federal commercial disputes, administrative law. and treaty enforcement issues. Alvarez is also a member of the Miami International Arbitration Society and the Dade County Bar Association. He earned his juris doctor, cum laude, and L.L.M. in International Arbitration, both from the University of Miami. Alvarez was also the editor-in-chief of the International and Comparative Law Review and vice president of the Hispanic Law Student Association.
Joseph B. Isenberg joins GJB as an associate, focusing on complex commercial, franchise, and real estate litigation. Isenberg is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation, Pretrial Practice & Discovery, and is also the chair for its Membership and Diversity Committee. He received his juris doctor from the Washington and Lee School of Law, where he was the Hispanic National Bar Association’s national Uvaldo Herrera Moot Court Competition national champion, and the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA) president and Moot Court coach.
Patrick T. Kalbac joins the firm as an associate, practicing in complex commercial and insolvency litigation. He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Patrick received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami Law School in 2018, where he was an executive board member of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board and a member of the Business Law Review. He also participated in the Investor’s Rights Clinic and the Federal Appellate Clinic
Zachary Malnik joins GJB as Counsel, focusing on bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He represents debtors, creditors, trustees and other interested parties in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases, and related adversary proceedings. Malnik received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida School of Law in 2018, where he was the executive student works editor of the Florida Journal of International Law.
