Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. Announces Senior Level Promotions
MIAMI, FL (January 23, 2020) – Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A., a leading litigation and bankruptcy law firm, is pleased to announce several significant senior promotions. In the Miami office, John Arrastia, Jr. is named a shareholder and Omar K. Bradford is named of counsel. Lisa M. Castellano and Eric D. Jacobs, both of the Tampa office, are named partners.

John Arrastia, Jr. focuses his practice on domestic and international litigation in state and federal courts, arbitrations, appeals, and counseling with an emphasis on a broad spectrum of business and commercial disputes, receiverships, and fiduciary practice. He is an experienced lead trial and arbitration attorney, with significant representations, including as Special Litigation Counsel to the Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Title III debtors in the current Puerto Rico insolvency proceedings (“PROMESA”), including the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico Electric and Power Authority, Employees Retirement System, and the Highways and Transportation Authority.
Arrastia has been honored as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of U.S. attorneys. He is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell and has been further recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by South Florida Legal Guide, “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend, “Top Lawyers in Florida” by Legal Leaders, and “America’s Most Honored Professionals, Top 5%”.
Omar K. Bradford focuses in the areas of commercial litigation, blockchain technology and digital currency, sports and entertainment, land use, governmental law, business transactions, labor and employment, and real estate. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an intern for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Laurel Myerson Isicoff. Bradford is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Bankruptcy Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and Sports Lawyers Association. He was honored as one of South Florida’s “40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Lisa M. Castellano specializes in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation in the bankruptcy federal district and state courts. Castellano has extensive experience representing creditors, business entities, trustees and other related parties in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases, and related adversary proceedings involving objections to discharge and dischargeability of debts, fraudulent transfer and preference actions, together with other contested matters. In addition, Castellano’s practice includes general corporate, real estate, community associations and family law matters.
Eric D. Jacobs. Jacobs concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate restructuring, Chapter 11 bankruptcy, complex civil litigation and business litigation. Jacobs counsels small businesses in restructuring, including reworking corporate governance, finances, and equity structure. He also represents Chapter 7 trustees and other fiduciaries in fraudulent transfer litigation and other avoidance actions, and represents creditors and debtors in collection matters, garnishment proceedings, and proceedings supplementary.
