Patrick T. Kalbac practices in the areas of complex commercial and insolvency litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Patrick served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Norma S. Lindsey at the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, where he gained experience analyzing complex issues of state law and drafting opinions in both civil and criminal appeals. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Federico A. Moreno at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Honorable Kevin Emas at the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.
Patrick is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
Patrick is admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida. He received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami Law School in 2018. While in law school, Patrick participated in the Investor’s Rights Clinic, where he represented under-served investors, and the Federal Appellate Clinic, where he researched and drafted appellate briefs on behalf of indigent defendants. He also was an executive board member of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board and a member of the Business Law Review. Additionally, he was awarded the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Award for Torts and inducted into the Order of Barristers.
Patrick earned his bachelor of science in marketing and communication studies from Louisiana State University in 2014.
